Further, you must not be an alien in the US on a non-immigrant Visa, and the applicant must not be a minor subject to a petition filed under section 5-520 of the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 where the minor allegedly committed a crime that would be a felony if committed by an adult.

How to Apply for Your FOID Card in Chicago

You will need about an hour on any Saturday between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm. You'll want to be sure to bring your IL driver's license with you or your IL state ID card and a credit card (cash is not accepted) for payment. You must have an email address to apply for your FOID card. If you have previously logged into the ISP website, you will need to know the username that you made at that time. If you don't remember it, you will need to use a new email address to create an account.
